This is a reference for all word game enthusiasts. The dictionary is arranged in three sections, and is designed to provide all of the different types of information readers might need when tackling difficult clues in a puzzle. The first section contains a master list of 250,000 words, extracted from the New Shorter Oxford English Dictionary and the Concise Oxford Dictionary. Entries are alphabetically arranged according to length of word, starting with a list of two-letter words, finishing with a list of 15-letter words and phrases. The second section consists of lists of biographical and proper names. The biographical names (5,000 in total) are arranged in categories, for example sports, arts, science, history, religion etc and sorted alphabetically by surname within each category. Also included in this section are 50 pages of geographical entries, covering countries of the world, states in the US, regions of South Africa and rivers of the world. The third section contains thematic lists on a wide variety of subjects, such as animals, plants, literature, music, art, religion, science, food and drink.
